Salford based online lighting retailer, Iconic Lights has fought off tough competition to be shortlisted as In-House Marketing Team of the Year at the Chartered Institute of Marketing Northern Awards and is celebrating an impressive week on week sales rise of 759 per cent.
The only e-commerce site in its category of eight leading finalists, including Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust Communications Team and Serco, Iconic Lights impressed judges with a strong growth in revenue and an innovative approach to marketing.
Led by digital and e-commerce marketing manager, Alice Felton, the Iconic lights marketing team undertook a complete rebrand of the company in the past year, redesigning the website and introducing the brand to new markets. Alice says: “Making it through to the final stage of such a prestigious award is a real honour and recognises the brilliant work that the team has carried out over the last year, which has created a highly successful brand.
“We have seen revenue increase by 274% and week on week sales rise by 759%, so the results really do speak for themselves. We are extremely proud to be the only e-commerce finalist in our category and hope to do the industry proud on the night.”
Iconic Light’s unique partnership with Manchester-based digital marketing agency I-COM also played a key role in impressing judges during the first round of the process. The submission highlighted how the agency and client work together as one, drawing on expertise from both an in-house and outsourced perspective to get the best return on investment and results.
Winners of the Chartered Institute of Marketing Northern Awards will be announced at the awards ceremony on 19th June 2014, held at Liverpool Crowne Plaza.
