50 Tesco colleagues in Stalybridge are celebrating an impressive milestone as they simultaneously reach 15 years of service at the superstore.
The team has worked together in the same store on Trinity Street since it opened in 2001, clocking up an amazing 750 years of service between them.
This fantastic achievement called for a special get-together, where the dedicated colleagues marked the occasion with a specially commissioned number 15 cake and bottles of champagne.
Each colleague also received a certificate to commemorate their 15 years of service.
Stalybridge Store Manager, Mark Corlett, says: “We have a great team ethic here at Stalybridge, and I am sure it’s because we have so many loyal colleagues who really know our customers, especially after 15 years in the community.
“Having been part of the Stalybridge senior team when the store first opened, I feel really honoured to be celebrating the store’s 15th anniversary with this group of colleagues 15 years later. They’re a fantastic team, and I’m immensely proud to be the Store Manager at Stalybridge”.
Pam Dagnall, fishmonger at Tesco Superstore in Stalybridge, comments: “I’m delighted to be celebrating 15 years of service at Tesco and I’d like to say a huge thank you to the senior team for making all 50 of us feel so special. I love working here, we have a great team spirit and I thoroughly enjoy each working day helping and speaking to our customers.”
