Discount department store TJ Hughes is bringing its range of big brand homeware, furniture, beauty, electricals and clothing to Bury.
The retailer will open the doors of its new flagship 40,000 sq. ft store at the Mill Gate Centre for the first time on March 18.
The two-storey building, on the site of the former Marks & Spencer in the town centre, will create 50 jobs.
TJ Hughes has built its name on providing big name brands to shoppers at the best prices on the high street, with beauty including Elizabeth Arden, Olay, and Clinique, famous perfumes including Jimmy Choo, plus homeware and electricals including Morphy Richards and George Foreman.
Kim Beattie, Marketing Manager for TJ Hughes, comments: “Opening in Bury has been in our sights for many years, so it’s great that we’re finally here.
“Customers can expect the biggest named brands at the best prices on the highstreet and not to mention all those hidden gems which people know us for.”
Marie Gribben, Centre Manager of the Mill Gate Centre, comments: “The arrival of TJ Hughes to Mill Gate will make a huge difference to the whole town centre.
“Not only does it put a household name department store on the high street, increasing the choice for shoppers, but it will also create new jobs which will boost the local community.”
