The York Clifton Moor Tesco will be hosting a great Yorkshire celebration this coming Monday (1st August). The event will showcase local produce stocked at stores across the region in honour of Yorkshire Day 2016.
Between 10.30am and 4pm local residents are being encouraged to visit the Extra store at the Clifton Moor Shopping Park to see the fantastic range of produce stocked at the store.
There will be free product sampling on the day from the exclusive Yorkshire producers on sale in the York store, including Bingham’s Potted Beef, Wold Top Beer, Stobart’s Pork Pies, Black Sheep Beer, Yorkshire Farmhouse Eggs, Wharfe Valley Rapeseed Oil and Yorkshire Peas.
Local Ward Councillors Stuart Rawlings and Peter Dew will also be present on the day, lending their support to the great produce on show at their local store. Additionally, visitors can get involved in charity games and activities.
Peter Hunter, event organiser and Customer Experience Manager at Tesco Clifton Moor, said: “The Clifton Moor team are proud to be hosting the Yorkshire Day event at the store, and can’t wait to welcome local residents to try some great local produce available on our shelves.

There will also be fun and games taking place on the day, with all money raised going towards Tesco’s national charity partners DiabetesUK and the British Heart Foundation.
